Illiterate (3)
Maybe you should add a message on servers to tell player that now pyros can extinguish their teammates with airblast cause few players seem to know it.

Yeah, I doubt many players actually read the update logs. :)

Nono its the other way around - good pyros ( for example me  ) know they can do it, but players on fire seems to fear ALL the pyros ( even friendly ) and run around in circles screeming "meeeediiiiic" instead of stoping for a moment to look for pyro :|

Also another reason why Pyros should pick the flamethrower over the backburner. Though it's annoying when your team mates run away from you when you're trying to extinguish them with the airblast; STAND STILL GODDAMNIT!

Jarate is fun to use against team mates when they're on fire; sebas even thanked me for soaking him with all my urine.

I need some time to get used to blasting friendlys, but that requires remembering it in the first place.

That requires other players remembering that this is possible, you usually see players running around looking for healthpack - not pyros ;) And there's always a danger, that pyro you want to extinguish yourself is a spy :ugly:

Yes, I tried telling it to them repeatedly. Reactions have been mixed

1. They just ignore me
2. They look at me and then procede to 1
3. They try flaming me to check if I am really not a spy
4. All 3 of the above
5. all 4 of the above
6. They actually do it.

Would love to have an option that rather than set someone on fire with your flamethrower you could douse them in fuel (which they don't see) so to them it looks like you're out of ammo and you hastily retreat then as if by magic someone shoots at them, the bullet hits the fuel and BOOOOOM.....one flaming dead person  think i been playing too much Alone in the Dark

Bullets wouldn't set fuel on fire :3 Unless they caused a spark on some nearby metal/gravel or something.

Although I'm not sure that australian piss makes more receptive to damage either :ugly:

QFT. After the latest update was released, it was like every two minutes, someone new joins the server and starts asking why there are medals in the scoreboard. And each time I replied that there's an update log, available for everyone.

I always read logs but i missed this.

Can't Valve like, you know, announce updates a little better?

If i didn't visit other sites (like SpA, gamefaqs) i probably wouldn't find out about tf2 updates until they updated and i noticed the little "download" icon in the task bar! Since i don't check teamfortress2 blog daily.

You can click on "View Update News" on each game to display a full list of past updates. I'm also subscribed to Steam News via RSS.

Really - why should a company shove down this info down our throats if it is one click away? Because we're lazy? That's the American approach. :-P

Anyways - big updates are always announced e.g. via pop-ups after login but God help me if they were to introduce annoying pop-ups on EVERY update - I'd have to turn them off. ;-)

They can also light arrows, but no one cares about that either. And you pyros squirt flames everywhere.

I light arrows, if asked but I use the back burner so I don't put burning people out.

Me was extingushing flames right after the update... you should get scores for it... or it should be counted. I'll try to add it to the stats. :4

ooh, can we get scores for soaking people with jarate too? I know we already do for assists (just like any other assists), but extinguishing teammates with it doesn't get us anything yet. I'm sure they would like to see their saviours properly rewarded :ugly:
