Lego star wars or lego batman, loads of fun and good for 1 or 2 players. CoD5 is quite good on it too but the controls take a little getting used to. You can also go to Sony online via the PS3 and download loads of freebies and demo's. I've started to play Resident Evil 5, some have said it's rubbish but I love it especially with 2 players. God of War is good too and Tomb Raider. Oh and Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6 vegas I enjoyed playing too.....

Resident Evil 5 = tops marks from me. Nice to play third person view for a change.

Killzone 2 = Another top game.

Top tip - buy them second hand from a local shop and save yourself a wedge.

If you are having a party then Singstar with wireless mics are worth every penny. Surprising how many people want to try once a few beers have been drunk.

I pretty much second this. If you're going to shoot down Megaman 9, then you don't deserve any real suggestions.

Megaman is pretty much the boss of gaming. Except I always sucked at it, so it's the 'boss -1' for me.

Thanks for your wonderful words DrMcMoist but I think I'd rather be referred to as a Tom-boy because if you ever saw me in the flesh I do not look manly at all and I can pull off wearing a dress but alas not look as dashing as Pim!!

@ MrGreen Ratchet and Clank is a brilliant game I've also played that many hours of fun, totally worth getting loads of great puzzles and lots of action.

Not sure if I really should be posting here since I've never owned anything else than Nintendo consoles... But! I happend to came across the wii remake of Resident Evil 4, and I simply loved it. Played it like mad three times over, which is two times more than my usual number of play-throughs. Oh, and now to the point. If I ever were to get a PS3, the first game I'd get would be Resident Evil 5! (never saw that one comming eh? :p ) Yea, I'd love to play that game, and would be willing to sacrifice a rather small rodent in order to be able to. Also my second game I'd get for it would be the Metal Gear one :)

Played Resi 4 on the Ps2 and Wii and it's one of the greatest games ever. Resi 5 is ok but nowhere near as good as 4...believe me
