in our family we have a wireless zyxel router(that we got when bought the broadband) The connetion is okay except when i start to play a full screen online game. Sometimes the conetion get lost, don't know why. I would be fair to say that the connetion get lost when i sart to play a gam 2 out of 3 times

Do anyone know a good router or should i buy a cord atleast ten meters long?

HELP ME..... :cry:

(btw i got a up to 24mbit/s)

i think think it's interference. because sometime i have over 5 different router i can get signal from(2 which is not password protected) and i think the router i have is probaply not exactly the router on the market. Because of the fact we got i for free(it was called Zyxel something and cost otherwise then maximum 300-500sek, 28-46euro)

Zyxel isn't all that bad. Try to find an isolated channel and change it to that.

?im a noob at that. got help with setting up the network. i'we seen on the box it's agood router for surfing and more, but it says not anything that it is good for gaming as other exspensive routers have.

edit: we have approximtly 3computers in our lan

Login to your zyxel, somewere u can change the channel settings.

I'm using a thomson wlan router and used to have problems with game disconnects (while loading and on map start) - this was a specific problem with my router (too agressive firewall, so I had to expose/forward the "hl2" ports straight to my pc from the router). I found a solution on steam support pages so don't forget to try there.

If i got my router going good my ping can go from 130 to about 30-40.

to get a steady connetion now i using a so called "dongel"

give me a guide how i should do with step by step instrutions!!(1. 2.)

or should have i ahve a 10 meter long courd?(is it good or is it bad +/-)

:4 i finally solved the problem and changed the signal to channel one (the others had at ch 6,5 and 13) :ugly:
