i havent played the game myself, but from what ive seen when Bucky plays it, its awsome and scary as shit!

I know this will sound stupid, but with the new Graphics card I am getting and more Ram, it should play the game on high detail pretty much fine shouldn't it? I've been told it will, but I am one for making sure, lol.

the single player for FEAR is immense, far outweighs doom3

however, FEAR combat (online multiplayer) is completely free, so you COULD get them both. doom3 really sucks though xD

The graphis in F.E.A.R don't seem that 'great' from the trailer. Good, but not GREAT.

Battlefield 2142 looks good. Will my new spec handle it ok?

Just try some demo's and put settings at max. Sometimes there are special effects, if you can use them ur card owns, if not it sux.

And try to launch 2 games at a time, or 3

If it works without lag or what ever, ur card owns. if not it sux.

I have it and I can run 2 MMORPG's at a time without any lag on high resolution....havent tried 3 yet

But MMORPG's generally don't push more than a couple thousand polys at a time, compared to hundreds
of thousands in the high end FPS's... And purely out of curiousity, why on earth would you want to run
even ONE MMORPG, never mind TWO ?!?!?!?!?! Madness, I tell ya!

Nah, don't get Doom 3 unless you feel brave! But then again, the following influenced my playing experience:
1. I'm a girl....
2. I've my graphics cranked to the max when playing
3. I used SLI cards that seems to make a clear visual difference in Doom (I notice it in Oblivion too)
4. I played it in the dark...
5. I tried playing it again with all of the above with 5.1 surround sound headphones plugged in...

So uh, if ya feel brave then sure!!! I just don't feel good playing it on my own any more these days though LOL
