Pure brilliance! At least I hope so. It will be really tough to beat the first part.. Hopefully this is not one of those shitty twelve in a dozen sequels..

I may be alone in the world but I found the first one to be pretty bad. Another low budget sub-hollywood bloodfest with very little beyond its style to redeem it, Die hard with only half the wit. Maybe its that it was released in 99 along side Fight Club, Magnolia, American Beauty, Being John Malkovich, Boys Don’t Cry, Matrix and what ever else was around.. Still I saw this in the same weekend we saw Payback and The Limey, god knows what the theme was that weekend but both are worth checking out.

Still if ya all enjoy it hope the sequels more of the same

Even if I do the film will still suck. :P

I think there are better glorifications of violence in cinema and this added nothing worth the price of admission. Anything from Takeshi Kitano's early films fit the bill, Warriors or the Driver also do just fine. Like you say taste differs I'd bet a list of my favorite films would draw nothing but derision from the assembled spa hordes. :)

The Necromancer (4970)
Personally I didn't find it particularly bad nor particularly good. I can see its "cult potential" though among people with certain movie preferences.
That having been said, you should feel bad about yourself Cardboardcutout - the film holds a 17% rating at Rottentomatoes. ;-)

Every film sucks if you rate it by rotten tomatoes, except of course really really really awesome films ;)

The Necromancer (4970)
That's not my experience with Rottentomatoes. It aggregates scores from different sources after all.
Remember one thing: a film can be bad and you can still like it and you can still dislike a good movie. The notions of "good and bad", however, are more or less detached from liking or disliking something. There are simply some canons on what is generally accepted as good or bad - from cinematography to acting. This at least is my opinion as a reviewer - I always claim that my liking or disliking a game affects the final score by +/-1 one on a scale of 1-10 at most.

True dat, I like to review things, but only in my head. I have the attention span of something with a small attention span (yeah I couldn't be bothered to think of a good finish to that). By the way, I got some Sennheiser HD201's and for £13 they are excellent headphones, thats my review for today!

Personally, judging from the trailer, I just think it looks shit.

Therefore I will not watch it.

I've got a pair of Sennheiser HD 415's and they are also excellent headphones.

Sennheiser headphones are always excellent. I even use them for the small ear-plug style phones even though in their case the build quality doesn't matter much.

Yeah I had some nice CX 500's but the right ear plug broke (sound went reeeaaalllyy quiet) and I got a replacement. Then I went and bought a Sony mp3 player and the sony in-ear plugs came with them and they were excellent, better than the CX 500's in my opinion, although I think they would have been more expensive if I hadn't got them with the mp3 player, especially in terms of build quality, but then the right hand side bud broke on them as well :/ So now I just have some cheap earbuds because my expensive ones always seem to break.

Dramatic proof that Sennheiser headphones are more interesting than this film.

Also I use cheap sennheisers to DJ with, my fellow DJ has a habbit of destroying them even in a night club playing exessively loud metal/hardcore/emo/puck and whatever else we wanna play. They still sound great, brand whore for life as long as its Sennheiser headphones or KEF speakers.

trailer looks meh

I'm using sennhesier CX-300 (same model more or less, £10 cheaper) and I love em - I'd have to be looking at around the hundred pound mark before I felt it worth upgrading them, they're so good.

Was Billy Connelly in the first film?

And is he actually their Dad or is he a Priest?

chances are, they just slotted him in so people would go "ooh, Bill Connelly" and go watch it, so I doubt he had a major role.
