lol nice poll :D
I used the idler, and I quit using it after Valve started taking actions. Perhaps they like me know because I received the Ushanka for the heavy yesterday on SPA #2 :)

Fortunately, I get back all weapons I lost after using idler. But still, I'm gonna miss my brigade helmet. I don't play pyro, but it looks very cool :p .

I just wanted to post something here, tremoved the persons name so I don't hang him.
I just find his statements very common amongst those who used the THIRD PARTY program so that they could get items easier

Do people wearing the hats that they Idled for gain an advantage in the game? Do they get more crits? Can they run faster? Can they fly? Can they bend TIME and SPACE to suit their own selfish needs!?

No. So it's not cheating. It's just a hat. Valve are a bunch of retards, and really should have given prior warning that this would happen if people continued to use Drunken F00l's program. As it stands, I think they've made themselves look like a bunch of petty wankers.

And what is it with people who got a Halo taking the moral high ground? I mean, honestly, does anybody else find this as hilarious as me? This isn't the afterlife;

my point was at least in my mind, very clear, I don't understand why people CAN'T UNDERSTAND why they get "punished", heck they didn't even get punished, what did they loose? nothing.

and the fact that they are PROUD of EXPLOITING the program, I see so many people having the stupid "I'm a dirty idler" tag, or similiar stuff. since when did exploiting become cool? it was pretty obvious that this was never INTENDED "gameplay" and as Lim-Dul pointed out, had this been any other game with any other developer, they would have gotten a permaban for exploiting

Now before this thread gets completely shitted up: Since you're not running the game (even if minimized), but only the idler, it counts as cheating the system. Also you are wrong. If you were right this wouldn't happen.

Yes. Valve has truly shown us all, the error of our ways.

I feel sorry for Tim Buckley, the guy who makes Ctrl + Alt + Delete. He goes to all that effort to make that comic and yet he's about as funny as an outbreak of herpes.
