Weeell - I've been playing on the Special Attack servers quite a bit after my TF2 hiatus (I stopped playing for 2 or 3 months so even the Medic update eluded me at first) and yesterday I even joined the Mumble server so I think I should introduce myself.

My name is Jan and I'm a 24 year old journalist/translator from Warsaw, Poland. You might recognize me as the guy who pastes animated boob-sprays of Sydney Moon all over the map (I just recognized that I've been spreading lies - she is NOT British...).

What else... I graduated from the Institute of Applied Linguistics (University of Warsaw) which turned me into a big grammar Nazi, even for languages I'm not THAT good at. ;-)
In my childhood I've been living in Hamburg, Germany, for seven years so I speak German almost as well as Polish although for the lack of steady contact with native speakers this is constantly changing for the worse. :-\
I do realize that my accent isn't very good (in English, I mean), especially for someone who thinks to have a good grasp of the English language but well, I'm a translator, not an interpreter and I had next to no contact with Brits or Americans except in written form...

I was a long time member (6-7 years or so) of the Polish clan Alea Iacta Est (it used to be quite famous in the CS scene several years ago) but left this year when I realized that the community has been taken over by immature idiots. I have nothing against older people acting immature from time to time for fun but I simply hate morons who are unable to act in any other way because their brains have been sucked out by too much Counter-Strike and too little education. ;-)
I hope the Special Attack community is a case of the former, not the latter. :-D

If the avatar I'm using looks as if it was drawn by a 12 year old then it's because in fact it was - I drew it in MS Paint when I was around that age and have been using it ever since. ^^

I'd post a photo of me but I don't have any recent ones. :-P

P.S. Yes, the nickname "Lim-Dul" is taken from Magic: the Gathering but I stopped playing it a long, long time ago. I've been using this nickname constantly since around 1998 when it was the name of my sorcerer (lvl 48) in Diablo 1. =)

I used to play Magic as well, but I didn't like the way the new sets were going. (quit around the time when the Invasion set came out)

So I guess here's 2 on the forums now with Magic related names, Crovax being the second. I briefly had WoW character named Yawgmoth as well

OK - some pictures of me - mostly to show-off. ;-)

They aren't very recent, the newest ones are almost a year old.

This is I (not "me" for hyper correctness :-D) with my old Tippmann 98 which I've been using for around 6 years and managed to sell for almost the initial price. Only the barrel has been changed to a stainless steel ~12" one.



I in full woodsball gear. This time with a Smart Parts Ion before I changed EVERYTHING in the marker and re-assembled the left-over pieces into a new one which I sold later:

This is my favorite picture which I tend to call "product placement": Dye, Smart Parts, Proto, Angel (WDP), Luxfer - it's all there. Had the photo been taken from the left side you'd have seen "Tomahawk" on my neck protector and perhaps my Empire Reloader B hopper with a Hybrid Suicide shell would have been visible as well. The mirror-coated lens I have in my mask looks pretty bad-ass but truth be told I couldn't see shit this evening because the field isn't well lit. Meanwhile I have switched to a yellow vision-enhancing lens and use the reflective one only outdoors in bright sunlight. =)



My Smart Parts Ion after all the upgrades... Not a SINGLE piece remains of the original marker so I basically built a new gun out of aftermarket parts. (Again, posting only to show off :-P)



My SystemX N.M.E. It's a superb marker but I have no use for a THIRD one. Trying to get rid of it which is hard because SystemX was sued by BobLong for stealing their Intimidator patents and was forced to leave the market. =)
No idea why I'm posting this. ;-)

And this community indeed DOES remind me of aie.pl before stelloZZa, 1nsekt and Drone (don't forget oz!) came along. The fact that SpecialAttack has its own servers reminds me of the good old times of Gry-Online #1 and #2 or Autocom Freestyle - more playing and less flaming. ^^
