Wow the new weapons are awesome!

As a soldier the direct hit is like the huntsman but then with the ability to gib any class up to 150 points pretty good! Got blown up as a medic on the ground with direct hits quite a few times today and I think this weapon will be very popular but not as much used as the original. /sarcasm

The eyelander is fun but it usually failed to kill me as my trusty medic sawblade usually won :) Although have seen quite a few awesome kills happen with it.

The Pickaxe is awesome for the soldier who is low on health and wants to get to a medpack real fast. And in a melee fight you can go faster and faster! Think this will replace the shovel 100% of the time.

Haven't seen the buff flag being used yet.

The new sticky launcher is what the original should have been tbh, a good trap laying device.

Awesome awesome update, charghing and landing crit with eyelander - priceless. And crafting is so nice, you can make any hat you want, altough it will take 31 items to do so :P So now everyone can have a hat, just collect items you are given. Also mixed my 2 scout hats which I didnt like ( batters and old baker ) and got me a texas gallon for engineer :mrgreen: :4

I like the idea of constant massive updates - I got bored of tf2 about 2 months ago, now I want to play it again. Also new maps are cool ( especially gorge, which is finally attack/defend map that isnt just one corridor as dustbowl ), the ctf one could be nice, cause you can airblast people off the bridge to the pit :P

Besides that the class limiter obviously broke the server.. plus the crashing of the server every now and then on mapchange.. the update is quite nice.. nobody likes spies who can build dispensers though~

So valve fails at the update

The Direct hit does actually do 50% more damage and not 25% more damage. Thus allowing it to instagib medics at close to pointblank range.

The spy, when disguised as engineer can now build dispensers.

Loads of people get a different class model than the class they are playing.

And I am guessing this is just a tip of the iceberg.

Btw I misread the bluprints, making a random hat requires 85 items :ugly: Class specific is 112 :ugly:

These things *always* break at updates, and *always* need a few hours till the lovely people over at Sourcemod have fixed them. As i've been out on the road i've hadn't had time yet to look into it.

I did now, and think stuff might be fixed after a map change.

Steam servers are down all the time, and Spa servers crash to 2fort on SD :(*

when I saw the rockets boots I pretty much jizzed on the spot, but stopped when I realised you would still take fall damage. is that the case?

and yes, this is the best single update yet, I think. haven't even played it yet. DOWNLOAD, DAMN YOU! :ugly:

yeah, boots have 75% damage reduction on the jump, but still take normal fall damage

Edit: The boots do seem to put a bit of a limit on how high you can go though (could barely make it onto gravelpit B Roof with them on) so the actual fall damage shouldn't be too high

Just ran around ctf_doublecross for some time, it may be a very good ctf map - finally Valve learned the lesson and put intel in big room with several routes and its not 5 second run from spawn. Its also quite large, so engis might not be annoying at all.
To bad gunboats doesnt go into misc slot, so you have to choose between shotgun, banner ( saw it in action briefly, looks really cool and works well ) or boats. But combined with direct hit will work magic, since you can constantly jump around shooting extremely fast rockets from above.

not sure, got the 3 soldier milestones, and 2 sets of boots dropped for me a couple of hours later, but i haven't had my rocket launcher yet so I'm not sure if they came from the milestones or just random drops. defiantly didn't craft them though.

tried playing tf2, but the servers were ultra spammy and full of complete randoms lol, will play after the "free" weekend and check out the new toys. :D
shud a known really ^^

That are joke drawbacks tbh. Who is stupid enough to hold this weapon when he is on high health or demands heals anyway? You can just switch the weapon.

Thats the problem with drawbacks you only have when you hold the weapon. If you dont want them, dont hold it, and use it only when its terribly useful.

Clearly better than the Shovel.

Just got 5 equalizer kills in 15 seconds.. too bad the achievements for the pickaxe aren't working yet.. that thing is beyond awesome.. it rapes the eyelander just as much <3

Well demoman with sword and targe i almost unkillable - if you wont be lucky to have a crit theres no way you can kill him, I was able to melee 11 players in one life at granary, and 5 at once. Its ridicolous, but also ridicolous fun :mrgreen: To bad milestones are still fucked and I havent got my new stickies yet, but the taunt for Scottish Resistance is purely epic, when Dekar did it I almost died of laugh

Killing melee demos is possible as nade + targe, but if you let him get close you're screwed and it takes ~5 hits.

My camera beard is no longer unique, steam has been farting camera beards all over the place, saw 2 of them given yesterday on spa servers, also read that drop rate for beard is insane :(
