I'm actually on the side of the idlers. I think this whole system has been a cock up since the get go.
And with this whole Halo thing, if the items being taken away will only affect 4.5% of the community, then most of the server is going to have a Halo on.
You'd be more unique if you just stuck to the original head wear.
Actually I share this point of view. You know - the idlers weren't people who wanted to CHEAT the system - 99% of them were people dissatisfied with the system which is retarded. Basically Valve is not punishing cheaters but people criticizing their stupid ideas. They're in complete denial, like "no our system is awesome, in spite of what everybody's saying". And then AFTER punishing the dissatisfied customers, they increase the drop rate. So, the criticism of the drop system was valid, and yet people are punished for pointing that out by their actions?
For fuck's sake - if something is not finished, then do not put it in the game. Like SaintK said - TF2 is too much like a testing ground for half-baked ideas nowadays.
