I'm actually on the side of the idlers. I think this whole system has been a cock up since the get go.Just take it up the bum! And Scream Sorry Valve! ![]() And with this whole Halo thing, if the items being taken away will only affect 4.5% of the community, then most of the server is going to have a Halo on. You'd be more unique if you just stuck to the original head wear. |

Its propably 4.5% of everyone who bought TF2. Untrusty sources ( random post on the steam forum ) say its about 1/3 of the active players. |

Actually I share this point of view. You know - the idlers weren't people who wanted to CHEAT the system - 99% of them were people dissatisfied with the system which is retarded. Basically Valve is not punishing cheaters but people criticizing their stupid ideas. They're in complete denial, like "no our system is awesome, in spite of what everybody's saying". And then AFTER punishing the dissatisfied customers, they increase the drop rate. So, the criticism of the drop system was valid, and yet people are punished for pointing that out by their actions? And with this whole Halo thing, if the items being taken away will only affect 4.5% of the community, then most of the server is going to have a Halo on. You'd be more unique if you just stuck to the original head wear. For fuck's sake - if something is not finished, then do not put it in the game. Like SaintK said - TF2 is too much like a testing ground for half-baked ideas nowadays. |

meh, idling was ok for peeps if they wanna do it and get items, valve then decided this wasnt the way they meant it to happen and so they got tough. If you do something that seems a bit dodgy then you gotta be prepared for shit to happen. Sucks, but at the end of it all, dont do dodgy if u cant pay the price ![]() |

Post subject: | Re: NO MORE IDLING |
im not gonna loose sleep over a few polys and a texture over my head. i idled for one evening and after that wasn't really interested in doing it as its not worth the time if the odds are still against you, i also like to let my pc rest at night. I'm upset valve do not reward its players properly. Achievements are no longer achievements, they are too few, too simple and or pointless (i've been hitting spies in thin air way before it was an achievement and or for examples sake shot someone unscoped way before they gave the sniper a reticule after the update). Hats and specialist items are not rewarded fairly (cause fair to valve means... random) so a new tf2 player gets a cool hat or 3, and a player since the beta gets bugger all. Medals are awarded to people who ever browse the internet or stay up to early in the morning to get them, and not for performance or *cough* stats. If a soldier gets 50 kills/points, whatever, in one life they should get a medal. That seems fair, maybe not to new people starting the game but its not like it wont work or anything. Christ i hate to think about new people starting MP COD4/5 now and dont have all the perks etc, and have to earn them all against people who have them all... doesn't mean the new people can't still take out a longer running player. Now that they are increasing the drop rate for hats, that soon means, eventually most people will have special hats, and eventually everyone will have all the hats, so they are no longer special, kind of like how now none of the update weapons are very special, cause more or less everyone has them all now... in triplicate!!!! |

http://www.tf2items.com/profiles/76561197982361403 They deleted the weapons I had before too, I had a set of all unlockable weapons, and every weapon I found was deleted. ![]() And well, 2 sniperhats gone, makes not really a great difference, as long as I have my PYRO BEANIE, which is kind of useless for me. ![]() Btw, I think its kinda lame from Valve to punish idlers now, its like a state is introducing a new law and everyone who did something against that law, before it was in the act will be punished too, I could understand if further idling will be punished, because now they're stating that they wont allow it, but what they're doing now is stupid in my opinion. |

I wish they didn't release 20% of a system then blame us for taking action to improve it for ourselves. 'Random' will never be fair since no matter how long you play the game you can still end up not getting a hat, which is just ridiculous. |
