If you liked GTA4 and Read Dead Redemption + adventure games + 1940s then definitely yes. Game is really great, investigation part is really well made ( if you turn off all the help ), facial animations are something never seen before in video game. You can also skip action sequences if you dont like them and want to keep the game more on adventure track. Chest high walls cover system shootouts arent very impressive, but theyre still enjoyable. I would say get it, first playthrourgh should be something between 12 to 15 hours without any sidemissions, which is really good value compared to todays standard.

Wow they might have actually thought about me. I got bored with GTA4 and Mass Effect games cause of the pointless shooting in between the story :o

You can also skip most driving sequences by getting into passenger seat, picking destination and letting your partner drive which skips to the destination.

Saw the facial animations on youtube, they're really stunning, the best I've seen outside of game FMV. You can genuinely tell if someone is lying, or nervous, or angry, or amused.

the best part is, the facial motion capture is done to EVERYONE, even Mr. Joe McRandom on the street!
Except, sometimes they are talking to themselves like nutters... haha

im really liking it so far, (big gta/red dead fan) and im only 2 cases in!

One of the first times I crawled out the minecraft section I was saying it could be close to the uncanny valley. I'm deffinetly going to manipulate my younger brother to buy it, but yeah I have a feeling it'll be in the valley. From what I've seen, I don't think they will continue animating faces like this, though L.A Noire has gotten away with it because the game's all about faces, and acting.

Its fucking expensive too! :) normally lip syncing is pretty good nowadays, its only for micro expressions that this system was used. :)

It is pretty good, one thing i noticed is when you look at your notebook and your partner enters your car, the interior lights come on when he opens the door, then they turn off when he closes the door.
I love the attention to detail in this game, it makes me satisfied, and craving for more!

I love the fact that it does usual things in games without taking from the reality, like the trip-skips making your partner drive, the use of music as the hints and such (even though I don't use them), the fact that there is a statistic for how many times you have waited to long to ask a question and the interviewee gets pissed off.
