Ok here is just what I have to say, dont care if nobody reads this, but I need to get this of my chest.

As most of us know where having promblems with the amount of players on the freebuild. Something like 90% of all our players (Builders,vets,ops,supops+...) have left for another server.

Now this is a problem;
1. Because almost all of our ops,supops..ect have left the Specialattack freebuild server. Which means worlds cant be loaded, deleted. Means that guest players have more freedom in what they do (Due to the little Patrol on the main). And other things two.

and

2. We have lost 90% of all our players which means we have lost alot of popularity and value in out server. (we're getting pushed further and further down to the bottom list of servers).


Now I'm sure there are some out there who think: "This is ok will be back up and running soon", "Will be right there is no problem". But the fact is losing about 90% of everything that you have worked for IS a problem.


Sure maybe with time we could get back up and popular again, but in the mean time, we need people who will put there hand up and say "Hay, im staying for specialattack!". Which is what I am going to do.

Here's what im doing to help:

Im going to put by project on hold for now, and help with watching over main/helping any guests with information about our server (And of course donate). And just doing what I can to help!

I guess this is how it first started anyway. We were short of all sorts when we first started out. So it's people like you that can bring enthusiasm and determination back into a fallen project to make it as successful as it was.

As for the freebuild , you have got all my support , whenever help is needed i'll make sure to be there ! As you mencioned , donations , i will continue with them , i have donations set to approximately 20 euros a month but if we're running short on gas i can always put some more derpedy derp into it :p Anyways , i just have to say that i will too support SpA community as much as possible Cheers mate!

Yeah remember that freebuild started from nothing, and it will take sometime to get rolling. The server will climb the list eventually, but having it low on the list will give us the time needed to fix it up.

Any veterans will be promoted back, also any ops/supops who plan to keep up appearances will be too

Yes mbl11, if you just want for a supop to login than just ask him to repromote you to your latest rank . Also you dont just need Wom to help out, you could just teloport to random guest and see what they're upto

The next thing we need to do is find people who play at about 1am gmt as that is when all the ops and such are all asleep.

To be honest if anyone wants to help out, all you need to do is just play and be helpful to guests really, first impressions do make a huge impact on who stays or leaves the server.

i can be on at 5pm pacific time (1 am gmt) as a veteran and keep the law and order untill an OP comes on (but i have dinner at 6) so im of for half an hour at 2 am gmt.

Yes we do need more ops and supops, anyway I really wanted to become mason. But things have changed and I've dicided that for now if I become an Op that that would benefit the server more...

I don't agree. The only thing more ops or supops will do is bolster numbers. As it stands - a builder or veteran could effectively moderate the entire main of all guests - and we have so far always had more builder+ than guests online all the time.

That is, obviously you would prefer having a higher rank moderate, but it is not necessarily needed. One op could easily handle all problems (excluding ranking users back to their old rank)

1am GMT is 12pm or 11am here, not sure if we're on daylight savings at the moment.

I've found that 6-9GMT (sometimes more or less, but this is a regularish expected timeframe) is when I'm on usually on weekdays, and there tends to be a griefer rush at that point in time. Blueflame, you are a shining beacon to the rest of us.

Determination rocks!

Erm, on weekends like today, I can be on at GMT 12ish, depending on whether or not I'm bothered or end up going out. TBH I don't know what the GMT time is right now. Probably either 11 or 12. Daylight savings confuses me. I can also waste away my weekend if there's no assessment or something to do, meaning up to seven or more hours each saturday/sunday.

I'm pretty sure that I've played around 1 am gmt for at least a couple hours a day for like the last 4 weeks every day almost. So normally I can spend a lot of time playing . I normally play a lot longer than I should so I'll be on quite a bit

Ok i'll sum this up really quick for you.
Hafnium and LimDul (Some of the owners of Spa freebuild) Decieded that it would be a good Idea to skrew specialattack by leaveing us for a "newer" server that they made, and because it is regarded a "new" server, 90% of all players on Specialattack left us, and joined this other server.

Leaving the remanding 10%, really Pissed off, because now we're back where we started. With an average of 10 players a day or something like that....

Hafnium and Lim_Dul left because they believed that SpA was being mismanaged at a time of a couple of internal issues, and so sent a convoluted message involving a few pieces of circumstantial evidence to the majority of Minecraft players on the forum, as well as advertizing it within the game itself. I would go into it further but it really annoys me.

They took approximately 90% of our active players, leaving us rather dead and lifeless. We're back on our way to the top though, so need to worry.

If you really want to go there, it's "fcraft.net official".

This left the server (or what was left of it) in the hands of Cardboard, Don_Don_Don, Howard and MTWDave. They're the new yellow-named Owners you see waltzing around here and there.

A lot of people have been annoyed about this so don't bring it up too much. SpA itself maintains a neutral stance and hopes to avoid antagonism, so don't start anything and don't do anything too rash, aggressive or stupid (like I was dumb enough to do). As anna said: "It's just a game."

Of course, it's a game we all enjoy. So that's why we're working on patching it up.

I just want to clarify, they didn't "steal" them, they didn't "take" because you can't really force someone, the players themselves decided to. As for some of us, we decided to not be "followers" (as you guys called us) and help out on both servers.

The server isn't "screwed" nor "dead." It's going through a stage it has gone through before. It's just a new begining waiting to bloom. I don't see why you guys are giving it such a negative thought. That just gives you anger and you do stupid things you're not really suppose to.

Edit: Just read Canada's post. The answer is not more of this and less of that, the answer is dedicated players. Not mass promos.

- You're allowed to build a game within our environment, financed by us, supported by us, provided by us.
- You copy all the data over because you don't agree how things are run, and you setup your own exact clone of the spa server
- You wreck the original server, placing messages that "SpA MC is dead" and sending them to a new server being advertised
- You wreck the server configuration files so it takes us over 2 days initially to put anything back (enforcing the idea of a dead community during those 2 days)

Now something tells me that "stealing" is not even close to covering the load of that.

Yeah, I got the picture of that. I didn't really think that when posting. It is terrible that this happened. I even asked why they couldn't just start fresh, but I got an answer I couldn't really comprehend. I do agree with you. All the way I do. This is just what happens when a community "splits" and it always leaves one side half dead and almost trashed. And it sadly had have to happen to SpA.

We can't really get this too much into us, after all, SpA is still hosting a Minecraft PIE(s) and such, so can't let the fun be taken away from playing on them from a struggle.
