OK so here's the deal. I share my kitchen with three girls who live on the same floor as me, and we have a microwave oven. We've never had a microwave at home, and though I've used them before I'm not exactly an adept microwave user. And I can't figure this one out. There's no button where it says "make heat". I thought I tried all the buttons, but I still couldn't make it work. And everytime I press a button, there is a diabolically loud "BEEEP!!!" which is most likely heard well by everyone on the floor; they must have been thinking "what the hell is he making!?" last time I had a go at it, and I don't feel like trying again. Of course I can't ask them, that would make me look stupid.

So Saint advised me to take some pics of the microwave and post them, so you guys can figure out what I should do. Instructions should be thorough: in case someone is in the kitchen next time I try, I want to look really brilliant, press those buttons like a pro, as if I know exactly what I'm doing.





So now it's up to you guys to save my pride, and protect my shyness. Don't let me down!

Ok, so now i watched the movie, and it even got more fucking great!

But..... The movie still doesn't show the microwave in action. So, did you figure it out?

Well, the clock started counting down from 30, so I figured it had probably worked

Tomorrow I promise I will make a sandwich after my lectures, and see if I can successfully warm it in the microwave with the instructions I have received.

I can now confirm that the microwave oven does, in fact, work. However, I am sad to inform you that the instructions I received were not accurate. Had there been girls present when I tried it for real the first time, I would have been humiliated. As you can see on the video, the volume button DOES NOT WORK! And even though the timer starts when I press the button with a line through a diamond, I have now discovered that heat waves are not transmitted after this procedure. I therefore waited for 30 seconds, only do find my sandwhich as cold as when I put it in: this would have been quite embarassing had I not been alone at the time. The trick is to push the button ABOVE the volume button (see picture above). After doing this for 2x30 seconds, I finally obtained a warm lunch.

Despite this partial failure, I salute Wankin and Kakihara, for had they not instructed me at all, I might have used a considerable longer time figuring this piece of machinery out. Again, thank you!

Mission accomplished.
