So what you guys reckon are the easiest classes to play and which are the most difficult ones, for a skilled player?

Also try to add some reasoning to your choice.

Personally I find, the soldier and demoman the easiest classes to play, for scoring points (provided you have played the game a bit). They have imba crits, good health, medium range and long range viability, average speed. Personally I think, that these 2 classes in the hands of a good player become absolute beasts. The sticky bombs just do way too much damage and I see more and more people (ab)using them these days. 1 crit sticky bomb takes out everything but a heavy at boosted health... Also these 2 classes seem to get a lot of "lucky" kills, where the blast radius kills someone, or someone was just about to turn around a corner just to get hit by a randomly fired rocket/grenade.
Of course, these classes do require more "skill" then some others, but in my opinion these 2 are the easiest to perform really well with. With the engineer you are usually "bound" to a certain part of the map and vulnerable to good spies and just about any demoman.

Also with the engi, you have to rely on backup if you really want to be able to keep an area secure for a long time. If you don't have any other classes nearby, the opponent can overcome you. Another easy point scoring class, could be the medic, but since they are very reliant on healing other classes for scoring points I don't like to say they are the easiest class to play for scoring points.. it really depends on your team members as well.

The two most difficult classes to perform really well with, are in my opinion.... The spy and the scout. They have little health and are both very vulnerable to collateral damage. While these classes can shine, they are far less versatile then the soldier and demoman. The spy can be awesome to play, but also a real pain since you can just have strokes of bad luck. Most classes only have to sneeze at the scout to kill or severly hurt him, thus the element of suprise is a major deciding factor in your point scoring as scout. Of course the speed and double jump help out, but its just not as easy compared to my concieved "imba" classes. And trying to cap a point after the initial rush, is just suicide with all the turrets killing you within a split second. Usually when I play the scout I resort to a more defensive role, trying to take down enemy medics (since they usually don't fire back, and their patient usually doesn't notice you if you approach from behind) and other people that are focused on something else.

Spy is just horrid at times, while you are trying your best to avoid people bumping into you when cloaked there is always someone who seems to do it.. resulting in you getting grilled or blown up. Basically the thumb of rule as spy is if you are noticed you are dead. You stand a chance if its only 1 guy you are up against as the revolver is a very powerfull tool (I love killing pyro's with it who think easy kill). But still, the spy is very easily countered by having some good pyro's, or soldiers, or demomans (gotta love blast radius). Now I have found my ways around as a spy, but I really have to say that you can perform just as well, or even better by playing just about any other class. The amount of times I've died by people randomly shooting eachother, accidently bumping into the spy, blast radius of a grenade/rocket hitting you, friendly teammates who decide to charge in while you just mixed in (hmm why is that guy not firing a weapon?)... well there are just so many random factors that you have to worry about as a spy. This makes the class very challenging, which I like, but sometimes I wish the spy would get a health boost to 150-175...

Now, I'm pretty good with the scout and the spy, but I just notice that when I switch to demoman or soldier I make kills far easier, and it requires a lot less thinking! But then again, the spy has the potential to do a lot of damage at a crucial moment..

Anyways what classes do you guys think are the easiest to play and score points with? I didn't pick the engineer because of his reliance on team mates, and his "turtling" nature which means his kills are a bit bounded to a specific area. I didn't pick the heavy, because he might be powerfull but very slow and crap at medium-long range.. also very vulnerable because of his big stature and his huge back. I didn't pick the medic because he is reliant on how good his patient is, and pretty much a weak opponent in 1 vs 1 (unless its a close range fight, where his bonesaw is plain evil). Didn't pick the sniper, because he is also very reliant on 1 spot of the map and it usually degenerates into a sniper battle. Didn't pick the pyro, because he is only really great when he has the element of suprise.. otherwise he dies pretty fast.

So who you think are the most difficult classes to play, and which ones the easiest. Keep in mind that I'm writing this post out of a point scoring view. So engi might be lazy and easy to play, but pretty difficult to rack up points with.

Pyro and Spy for the hardest.
Any pyro can just zerg but he'll soon die, good pyros learn to retreat, mark a target, flame him or others and retreat to let him die from the flames, but it's not always easy.
Spies, you need to know the enemies deadzones, when to strike, not bump into an enemy, and think your plans through.
Retarded Spy: LOLOL ZERG SPAM SAPPERS
Good Spy: I'll sneak up behind him, stab him then quickly place a sapper on his sentry.

Easiest would have to be the Soldier and Medic. Soldier, a class that can dominate the pyro, on close range/low hp enemies they can just fire a rocket, watch them bounce then fire another, or it's a crit and free instagib.
Medics just hop around like crazy staying out of bullets/using the heavy as a meat shield and racking up lots of points.

In my opinion the soldier and medic are easiest to score with, talking over the mic somewhat solves the problem of a heavy not looking behind him >_>
The pyro is alright when it comes to scoring, ambush;retreat;ambush;retreat
The sniper depends a bit on the map.. getting 2 points for a headshot is pretty nice

I suck at being a spy so I can't really say.. but it's rare to see a spy at the top of the rank (and I'm not talking about mister Bob O;)

No.1 - Soldier: When my rank start slipping it's time to whip out some crit rockets and *pow*, you're handing out asskickings like there's no tomorrow.

Hardest imo is the engineer, but that's probably because it just doesn't suit me. I don't like babysittting machines in the corner so i run out and try to hit heavies with my wrench. Then i die.

Easiest - Sniper and Soldier.
Hardest - Demoman and Engie.

Sniper - headshots only and if you know the snipespots and don't stay still for too long, you can get many kills and assistances fast:)
Soldier - splash damage, crit rockets;) + the shotgun

Demoman - no melee:( I love the class but it's hard for me to play with it (though I'm getting good :D). Stickies are pain in the arse for other team (can handle a choke point for a few mins untill assistance is provided) and firing pipes can slower them down for a while. But against pyro or scout it's quite difficult. Snipers pwn you easily, too.
Engie - as Magisk said ;)

I will just mention the easiest and hardest class to play.
Easiest class: Soldier. Spam rockets --> free kill. Get a crit rockets --> lots of free kills  Even a noob can kill with the soldier. A good player can kill anyone
Hardest class: Spy. Crovax told everything about that. I used to play spy a lot, but until the spy class is fixed I rarely play spy. It is totally broken :(

Medic isn't the easiest class to play. It's very annoying to have a noob medic in your team. Heal you for a sec and then run back to your base  On the other hand medic is the easiest class to get lots of points.

When you play engi you don't babysit your sg all the time. Patrol the area, kill spies, fire with the shothgun and get random assists etc Just don't die doing these or else your sg will be destroyed instantly.
Only at dustbowl/gravelpit you need to stay all the time next to your sg.
And don't forget. Wrench isn't like your beloved bonesaw

Well the spy can do fine... but if you compare the skills and thought required to other classes... well something needs to be done. I'm all for increasing spy health to 150-175, since this will alleviate a lot of the random thing blows you up problems the class seems to have. I can do pretty good as a spy, but the 125 health is just laughable. On the other hand, now that I mix the revolver into my play he gets a lot better, I think a lot of spy trouble come from people relying to much on the knife as well. The revolver seems to have a pretty high crit rate and does very good damage at close range.

I'd say give the spy the ability to see the enemies health, when he is in disguise so he can decide wheter the revolver or the knife would be best. Or increase his health to 150-175,.

Heh, the good spy only works when there is 1 sentry gun and 1 engi :p. Zerg spam sappers has it uses, usually on the first stage of dustbowl at the second CP. Although it really is a demomans job to take down multiple sentries. Spy can handle 1 sentry easy, but multiple is really hard.
