Kinda hopeless, but improving (136)
Any heavy weapons guys notice that it is taking marginally longer to drop people just now? This might be either due to a) bullets doing slightly less damage, b) spray cone being slightly increased, c) me being burnt out.

I noticed that foes are either getting closer, getting away or killing me and them surviving with a sliver of health.

This is understandable in the case of pyros with their improved weapon and hp, but I can't understand it for say an engineer.

Thought it was just me, but spent yesterday watching a bunch of different heavies on different servers, and their bullets were all over the place and not getting the drop rate I would have expected a few days ago.

Might be a pre-cursor for the upgrade weapons of course.

G.

I played as the Heavy briefly last night and I did see a noticeable dip in the damage I was doing. I've felt like this for a while though. His class has been altered somewhere down the line which is one of the reasons I stopped playing as him. The thing is, he's still the top played class on my stats and yet I haven't played as him for a while. Not extensively anyway. So that should show you how different he actually feels to me now.

I love playing heavy, although I don't play him that much. I also noticced a slight change. Do they really have to take something away in order to let you earn something that in the end is not better nor worse than the original?

Well with my 140+ hours of heavy playtime i can say i play heavy regurly.
And yes, since a few weeks it seems that i have to hit peepz longer with my minigun to kill them.

I didn't noticed some changes , although the heavy minugun's dmg seem's to be lowered at long range !

The Necromancer (4970)
Yup - I don't know if it's just a subjective feeling but I can confirm that. I'm not talking about shooting people at long range or trying to destroy repaired sentries at anything longer than close range, which just makes you a noob, of course. =)

I was enjoying playing the heavy because you could kill anything with a good medic.. It's 100% clear that they changed it..

Playing almost only heavy I have the feeling (which of course lacks any proof whatsoever) that they widened the firing cone somewhat.
Hostile in front of me = slice & dice, but the miss rate seems to increase a lot at medium distance compared to before the patch.
Nevermind the pesky pyros as they have to come up close anyway, but a soldier passing me by at some distance now survives due to the increased spread.

Sorry NabNab, can't cuite confirm that. Been playing heavy so much lately I can't remember the medics I've gone on killing sprees with. And yes, you can call the Heavy slightly overpowered (if played well). But is that not what the whole concept of Heavy is about?

Heavies seemed fine again yesterday - cone arc seemed to be back to normal (mine, opponents and ones I watched); kills that were supposed to be kills were there again.

Then another patch came out and pyro auto crit weapon (backburner) got fixed so that if you face the damn pyro he doesn't crit you. Thank you for bringing some sense back into that weapon.

Has learned to write! (188)
And again, I also played the heavy 'last night' and indeed noticed that people are harder to kill, which makes the heavy a lot harder to use.
Normally when there are no heavies you can become a heavy and be of some value, but now I died more then I had shot.
