Did you know, that one of SpA's biggest targets almost has been relised?

At the start of SpA more then 2 years ago, the first mayor target was set. This was that we wanted to provide gaming around the clock, 24/7.

With the new USA server inplace and starting to become known and populair, we nearly now offer 24 hour of gaming plessure a day on SpA servers around the world.

So, whats in store for the future server wise?

The plans are currently as following;

1. USA, become more populair, expand, recruit, own
2. Upgrade current NL gameserver (MrBlonde) from a opteron 180 to a dual quadcore system
3. Move 'old' NL gameserver, MrBlonde to a UK/london datacenter
4. Replace current (new) webserver with higher bandwidth allowance (500GB -> 2TB)
5. Move 'old' webserver to east European country (currently investigating Slovak/Bratislava)

Ofcource some things might change, and the timeline is not exactly know, but this is currently being set as new, replacement target for SpA's development (server/geographical wise).

Why would you move the MrBlonde server to London?

If it would be to make for better pings in the UK then I wouldn't bother. My ping on Specialattack is smooth as milk.

It will directly serve as backup mysql/webserver incase of trouble on the NL network, and from the UK you have some nice interconnects to other country's were we currently have a bit of a high ping.
