Is it true they edit nebula pictures by changing colours so you can actually see the nebula?

Anybody heard of the http://www.galaxyzoo.org/ project (now closed although you can still play around with it)? It was friggin' kick-ass - I sat there for several hours classifying galaxies (a total of 1365, not quite 9000 ^^) which I was probably the first human to see (since the photos were taken automatically). Woohoo! Science everybody can do (if you can distinguish between clockwise and anti-clockwise rotation which apparently not many people can ;-).

It's awesome to look even at not enhanced pictures. There must be life somewhere out there even though the law of relativity mean that we will probably never ever meet them (considering the humans will bomb each other to death soon the chance is even smaller :-).
