Either in hardware manager in control panel

Or you could go Start>Run>dxdiag

murk is right, it most likely is your gpu (graphics card) that needs updating as that's what makes the biggest difference to how well games run (other than possibly the hard drive, but that's nitpicking)

also, how much RAM do you have, and do you know what speed it is?

Hey, that's the same card I fried last year. And it's not a bad one either.

You should turn down particle settings, that's probably causing the trouble.

Nerdish, tbh. (455)
Dude,

http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/video/ ... html#sect0

Thats a 128mb card!! (not 1280 !!)
I dont think the textures of TF2 will fit in that space.

In non techtalk:
Its not big enough, i thought we talked on mumble about it or something?
You dont need that expencive a video card for tf but i think this one is just to old: its from 2004.

This would be a BIG improvement for YOU and its the cheapest i could find in 10 sec 25 euros
http://www.azerty.nl/8-971-36051/club-3 ... grafi.html
if you have agp:
http://www.azerty.nl/8-973-71384/pny-ve ... agp8x.html (40 euros)

I have this for price/'speed' comparison:
http://www.azerty.nl/8-971-195735/asus- ... 3---g.html (120 euros)

I run it at 1920x1200 with (about) everything maxed out and i get about 40ish frames per second (yeah it drops to 20 sometimes BUT I DONT CARE!!!)

Give me a nudge at msm or something and we will talk in mumble.

Sometimes size does matter :P

I dont know the gpu memory consumption on low or ultra-low (with config tweaking) but high / ultra high is 500 and 650mb.
