how do i rip a promotional dvd for the organasition i work for (8 minutes) so i can easely post it on youtube?

2 Steps

1. Use a DVD to Avi or a similar converter
2.Upload it to the tubes

You could try out Avidemux.
I haven't tried it out myself, but is recommended within the Ubuntu community to convert almost everything (I think).

Available for linux and windows, and it's open source! <3
