Okay, this is a rather unconvential ask for help but I have a serious problem.

I'm stuck in the Level 1-3 of Kirby's Dreamland 3 for SNES :X There's this part of the level where there are several platforms and the screen scrolls downwards. You have to drop down all the platforms, if you're too slow you die.

This is the part I mean (skip to 6:48)

Now my problem is the following. Normally you can drop down platforms by just pressing and holding downwards (I tested it in "regular" parts of the level), but here for some reason holding down does nothing. I havent quite found out how to get past this. It works like 1 out of 10 times by double pressing down, 1/10 times it works by holding and another 1/10 times by pressing down once. It's pretty frustrating and I'm seriously raging atm...

Can pls someone help me out with this? XD

I played it on a SNES emulator, here's the ROM, saving file & emulator I used: http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/1021575/kirby.7z

In the Kirby game I've had for the first GameBoy, to drop down you had to press "down+A(or perhaps B)" if I remember correctly...Have you tried that out?

To rule out emulator problems you should use bsnes, since it's currently the most accurate SNES emulator out there. ZSNES hasn't been updated for ages.

http://byuu.org/bsnes/

Also, you didn't provide us with the Save State file. SRMs are only the SNES game ram files - save states in ZSNES have the .zst extension (and e.g. .000, .001 etc. for SNES9X).

I use zsnes because it doesnt require me to have a proper gfx driver installed which would cause my PC to get a BSoD when booting q:

As for the .SRM-file - does it really matter? It enables you to play level 1-3 which is enough^^

Actually it lets me start at part 02 of the Grassland level while from the video I gather the problem is at 04 - I'm too lazy to play through the game till this part, especially if you're using an emulator and could easily save-state...

OKi - I confirmed the bug. ZSNES has not only NOT been updated for a long time but the 1.51 version is buggy on top of that. If you can't use other emus, then download ZSNES 1.42, e.g. from here:

http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/zsnes/zsnesw142.zip

It was the last version that had netplay enabled, so I have it lying around anyway and tested that everything works properly. You can even use the same save states, so you're pretty much fine. :-D
