 Post subject: (Too) early map changes

Since the last week I noticed maps seem to change to fast, before the current round is even finished. Especially on attack/defend maps, the first round is fully played, but after the teams have changed the new attackers have no chance of finishing their attack because the time runs out.
I must say I find this a bit... disappointing :cry:
Can this be fixed please? :57

There haven't been any changes to the configs lately.

On what map did this happen?

Yeah, I saw that yesterday evening too.
It happened 2 or 3 times when I was playing.
If I remember correctly one of those maps was steel.
Maybe Feoraz remembers the others. ;)

Ive seen this on Steel (me amyl etc quick capped E on the first round then the map changed.)

On goldrush, after a few rounds on the first stage, we actually got all the way to the third stage but then on getting the first CP the map changed. As you can imagine, we were all really excited to be seeing the rest of goldrush for once. :D

It happends on badwater too ...and other maps I don't remeber now
(may new updates fked cfg a little?)

It happened on Dustbowl, Steel and Goldrush when I was playing. Also, it is the most annoying on attack/defend (alike) maps. It seems like the server just changes when the maptime is over. In the middle of a round. It also happens that, if there is a short round, the first attackers get another chance to attack. Unable to finish this because of the time limit.
I think the server should always wait till the round is finished, and give both teams only one chance to attack or defend. Regardless of what the remaining maptime is.

Someone told me there has been an update of TF... maybe settings changed because of that?

yesterday the blue team got the first and 2nd stage both within 5 minutes, but instead of going to level 3 it went on to next map. this really empties out the server, more so even when it changes after only the first map is capped

Ok, I've reworked all the win conditions for all map types.

Generally, I tried to get rid of limits on the number of rounds and wins and replace them with a limit on the difference of team points. That feature wasn't around when we first configured the settings, so we never used it until now.
So now, the server should basically never change map before the timelimit (30 minutes on most maps) except one team is heavily owning the other team.

Of course, any change of that size can have some side effects. So if you notice anything strange, please report it here.

Im not sure, but could it be possible that on offense/defense map like Steel sides do not get switched? (5:0 after first round)

I just experienced cp_gorge switching after only one attack on the war3mod server, it was quite ok since gravelpit was up next though ;p

I've only made changes to the normal servers, nothing changed at the wc3 server.

Changes are now replicted to the wc3 server.
