Hello everyone.
As you probably know, I will start my own server. It will initially be run locally by myself, and thus it will only be running whenever my computer is running, which during this month is when I get home on Fridays at 18.00 to Sundays at 15.00, when I have to leave for work again.
Every other month, starting from September, I will have odd working hours during the whole week, and here the server will run whenever I am home, or if I leave the computer on for a day.
Server name is TBA, but will probably be something like "Epicbuild".
The maps running will be:
Capitol Hill (Welcome map).
Citybuild
Betterbuilds (Tutorial map. See below)
Epicbuild
On capitol Hill, the freebuild areas will be removed, and the map will be filled and finished eventually.
Citybuild will be alike the citybuilds on the SpA freebuild servers. Only here, people are expected to build densely (See the Megabat/mr green/Spikespiegel downtown area on the SpA citybuild1 map).
Betterbuilds will be a tutorial map. Here there will be examples of poor builds, and how easily they can be improved. There will also be assigned "trainee" spots on the map, that will allow people to practice and get evaluated.
Epicbuild will be a map where people can coorporate on map-sized buiilds.
Whenever a citybuild or epicbuild gets filled, it will be unloaded and replaced with a new map. Old maps can still be accessed by loading the map.
Ranks on the server will be:
Regular
Trainee
Guest
Regulars are people that are known to build nicely and can be trusted. Any people that I have built with in the past, can bug me for a regular spot.
Trainee is for people who thinks they are good enough to join regular rank. These may be invited on request from regulars. Trainees can ONLY build on "Buildbetter" maps. Trainees may be promoted to Regulars, once they have proven their skill.
Guest is just a guest
They can visit all maps, but they can't build anywhere.
As guests cannot build, there will be no "banned" rank.
This server is purely meant to enjoy yourself on, with people who can build quality stuff. It will not be a community in itself, and I will not accept guests to build (also, so we don't take away the community from SpA
)
If Lim reads this, Is it possible that you can PM me the maps "Citybuild", "Citybuild2", "Citybuild4" and "CBD" from the freebuild server? I would like to use these for reference as loadable maps.
