Evening peeps

As always , the university projects keep pouring out, just handed in one of them today so they felt they should give me another. Its fair enough I suppose

The project this time involves the Bournemouth Live Television Studio

The Brief is as follows

You are to create 30 minutes Live interactive studio piece.... thats it

I have been told to be as creative as I want , and literally aim to do anything

First brainstorms brought about the usual rubbish, X factor style voting for interactive , battle of the bands..

Then I though perhaps an interactive Cluedo where the audience choose the killer,

Then I thought ho about a challenge the gamer , where we have someone set up to consoles ready to take on challengers from over the internet

Then I thought , why dont I just grab 20 or so actors , hook them up too earpieces and hook the earpieces up to Interactive students who are being told how to control them via people who sign and see the broadcast ,

I'm all over the place so I need to bounce ideas off people, whos willing to be creative with me!

Maybe you could do something like that little flash game, Crimson Room or something. Have somone locked in a room, (obviously one half the room will be space for cameras and lighting, so not really locked :ugly: ) with chairs, and objects to mess around with to help them get out. It would be a little bit like problem sleuth :P

Then you can film an internet chat room live, split the screen when nothings really going on in the room. Have a presenter talking bollocks so things don't get too quiet, or use that sort of uneasing music they play in time based gameshows. It doesn't nessesarily have to be a chatroom, but you can make sure you invite people who wont mess about, and you can have some plants, incase things get slow.

It's a dynamic idea, because it doesn't have to be one game, it can be many, like checking for clues and stuff. Though I'm not sure how easy you could apply this to a live studio.

I have access to roof rigging for a camera , something thats movable so it can track him from room to room , or have that as "Surveillance".

I have 3 more cameras at my disposal which i could use to track him and items he picks and uses

If you are good at something never do it for free ^^

do something satirical, and offensive like brassEye.. upset the established order and push it to its limits...

"him"? Should make it a damsel in ditress, only the audience can save her! and they bloody will if she's a damn fine looking woman.

That sounds good, what you'd need to think about though is communicating these ideas to whoever's in the room. Could have a laptop with them? They're trapped, and they have to rely on the internet for help :P which would allow the damsel to reply. Though internet connection to the laptop might be unreliable for unforseeable reasons, so you could keep the screen out of shot, and give the damsel an ear piece.
