I have seen a lot of people kicking without warn them, they just freeze and instantly kick them.

If you think i am over reacting them lock this thread but i have told many vets and members and even some ops to warn before kick

I agree, i have also seen many kicks without warnings. I ALWAYS warn people before I kick them, to be honest sometimes they are new and don't know and they stop after you warn, thus no need for a kick.

There are time when it's acceptable to kick instantly, like when the server's full and you're the only op+ on.

Well I guess that might be an exception, but you should still warn them if possible.

With the magic of freeze, there should never be a reason you can't warn someone, unless you're really busy, in which case it would become necessary to use discretion.

Tman, im not out to get you ( yet) but your a member. Ive told you to go build and not patrol main. I dont know how many times youve blown my cover patroling/ teleporting to the people i froze and watched them after. SO this subject shouldnt apply to you (yet).

Well when the PIE is full, ya i sometimes kick without warning but only when the PIE is full. What i am saying is that some vets and members and even some ops won't listen and just continue kicking without warn. They sometimes act like i don't exisit or they say "calm down cman".

Hmm, maybe not Illiterate (23)
I think sometimes people are distrustful and suspicious of each other too much here.

I do this all the time. I freeze someone just to stop them from griefing, building penis, etc. Then after I freeze them I check their info. If they have already been warned and kicked for the same thing then i'm not going to warn them. The rules of this server are too well known and I have resorted to writing down names because people know they can come and break each rule once and not get any kicks, then play again a few days later and do it all again.

Sometimes I also just freeze people because i can't figure out which of the 5 people standing inside the house are actually griefing and I want to make sure I blame the right person.

While I imagine other mods freeze and kick for the same reasons, there are even more reasons. When I see other mods freeze someone, ill send them a tell saying that I already warned them for this or for that. So if they were going to warn for the same thing you would see them kick instead.

I'm sorry, i'm still fairly new myself. Also, I've stopped patrolling main lately, the only way I teleport to someone now is if a guest says that someone is griefing or if someone needs help/assistance. By the way, when I try to build at main sometimes Vets+ tell me that I should be building on another world, but to be honest all of the members worlds are nearly full. Very little space in between, is there any chance of getting new members worlds? Or do member worlds get wiped every so often?

Member worlds are never wiped and we would like for all of our members to build on member worlds so guests have more space.
Any way back on topis; I have told people alot to warn before kick, don't take this personaly and if the person has already been kicked just tell me them. So i and everyone else on the PIE atm knows.

If they don't listen and maybe some just leave when frozen, if they levae then ban them with the right to appeal (many supops+ have told me to do this). and if they don't kisten then after a couple warning just kick them.

I alway freeze them before a kick I have /freeze typed out in a macro, and then I punch in like the first 3 letters of there name just to minimize the damage they set out to do, so like literaly they're frozen in a second. that gives me time to make sure I've got the right guy and stuff, and then I can kick them without wasting precious seconds writing out their kick reason. Of course I don't kick with out warning them previously before.

I agree about the member thing, members are suppose to be building, not moderating, they have kick and patrol as a last resort when there's not enough vets+, I wont mind so much if a member kicks if someone just runs and griefs a place nuts, but I much rather they try calling us first. Also veterans should loosen up and build sometimes, they're half mod half builder, but they just seem to be full time mods atm, thats good on a busy day, but not when I'm hidden watching a player, and so are like 3 other vets doing the same, trying to steal 'frag' that's abit anoying.

Why the hell do they have patrol? See? This are the kind of things our server falls at (Which are very little, but still), We say members should moderate, yet they have moderating commands. See, kick is for when there are no vets/op+, and if you are running, and see someone griefing, tell them to stop and proceed to kick them if they don't. OTOH, patrol is a PURELY op+ thing, since it doesn't offer any benefits game wise, but it's just for patrolling main to spot a griefer. So I think we should either take out that command, or stop saying we don't want members to patrol. (I'm for the first option FYI.)

I'd say vets should keep patrol, because ops are so few in number, and sometimes there's just no staff on. I can't see why members need it though, there's always even in the worst case scenarios a few vets online.

Vets should keep patrol. They already have /hide, so they go perfect together.

If members are gonna keep Kick & Patrol, at least give them Freeze, so they have no excuse not to warn them. :)

Yes it's a bit silly to see a member patrolling to another member... Since members are in the patrol list... :20

I've been playing freebuild for several hours today, and had to tell several different members not to kick.
One of them kicked somebody for 'griefing' when they was standing still, the same incident happened about 20 mins later with different people.
It appears a lot of the new members are kicking inappropriately; any suggestions on what to do?

If they are quickly and blatantly griefing, I sometimes insta-kick them. Or when the server is full, I sometimes kick quickly without warnings if we have a major griefer problem at the moment. But most of the time I try to warn, then kick. Or even a few warns, then kick. HOWEVER, if someone made a sawstika/genitalia, I sometimes make exceptions and instantly kick them. Though most of the time I warn them first. The main problem right now is no kick reason being left. I leave one near 100% of the time (maybe once i forgot, not more than that), and I see a lot of members (and vets) not leaving kick reasons. We need to enforce leaving reasons (Lim, there is a force-reason setting in Fcraft).

Thats my 2cents.

I've been told not to instantly kick, so until told otherwise please always warn before kicking.
Genitalia isn't against the rules, only if its being used for griefing purposes/spamming them everywhere.

just a suggestion but why don't you give members ONLY the option to freeze and not kick/ban and they can get some more experienced player to kick if its necessary..

like i said- only a suggestion :)

I usually warn 5 or 6 times before kick if the suspected griefer seems like he doesn't know what he's doing; I was a noob newb too (now I'm just newb).

@Hit_girl I think genitalia isn't allowed.

Rule 4-You shall keep your builds tasteful and inoffensive.[...] penises aren't tasteful. Not even as "art". So don't do it. Think of the little kids.
Initially violators of these will be issued a warning, if they do not follow suit a kick.

surce: http://minecraft.specialattack.net/Gene ... Freebuild) [yeah yeah, forum noob]

@PetePorty wena, imposible no encontrarse con un chileno//nice, impossible not to run into a chilean.

PS: I only kicked once without warning, my bad, now I'm preeeeeetty patience.

@Doc It's best to freeze them I think, 'cause sometimes they will actually just stop if you ask, next thing you know they're calling you over to seem work of art it's like lol what? Sometimes people just see the kicks as being disconnd, and return to do it again, while freezing forces them to heed the rules. Oh and if your sigs a Val Kilmir quote, win. "Why Johnny Ringo...you like someone's just walked over your grave" :D

@Battlekid I'd seriously avoid instakicks, I mean docs a supop so we can assume any instakicks from him were pretty called for, but people wont have the same faith in your judgement, and it might get you in trouble. Also don't kick for profanity, if you don't talk to them and tell them it's wrong and just kick them for it, they wont read the reason and they will return and continue doing it. It's not a heavy offense, but we can't allow it all the same, one warn, then a kick.

@thaw because sadly it's nessesary members can kick, there must always be people online who can eject griefers.

I always say to members or vets who ask me when it's appropriate to instakick, I always say when in doubt warn them first, or get an op to sort it. If you're ever in doubt about how to deal with an offender refer them to an op+ it will keep you out of trouble. Which is a shame 'cause even people we call power abuses were ultimatley trying to help out.

Anyways, our official language is English, so try to use it at all times. If you have major problems with the language (you don't seem to) you may ask for help, and we can discuss whether we could make an exception.

That rule is out of date, then.
Recent actions have show that they're not against the rules, they only are deemed against the rules when used for griefing purposes. e.g building it on someones house.

Actually, just building a penis out of nowhere IS still forbidden, since it's considered spam and even grief. Building a naked human body with... realistic proportions isn't.
