@Doc It's best to freeze them I think, 'cause sometimes they will actually just stop if you ask, next thing you know they're calling you over to seem work of art it's like lol what? Sometimes people just see the kicks as being disconnd, and return to do it again, while freezing forces them to heed the rules. Oh and if your sigs a Val Kilmir quote, win. "Why Johnny Ringo...you like someone's just walked over your grave"
@Battlekid I'd seriously avoid instakicks, I mean docs a supop so we can assume any instakicks from him were pretty called for, but people wont have the same faith in your judgement, and it might get you in trouble. Also don't kick for profanity, if you don't talk to them and tell them it's wrong and just kick them for it, they wont read the reason and they will return and continue doing it. It's not a heavy offense, but we can't allow it all the same, one warn, then a kick.
@thaw because sadly it's nessesary members can kick, there must always be people online who can eject griefers.
I always say to members or vets who ask me when it's appropriate to instakick, I always say when in doubt warn them first, or get an op to sort it. If you're ever in doubt about how to deal with an offender refer them to an op+ it will keep you out of trouble. Which is a shame 'cause even people we call power abuses were ultimatley trying to help out.
