OK - as to recording games - forget AVI recording, it works for me but you have to have the right codecs and it will limit your framerate which would lead to game desyncs online.
The good news is that Kaillera has its own recording function and I tested it - when you host or connect to someone you will see a little "Record game" checkbox - if you tick it the gameplay will be recorded and in a very space efficient way - only the key inputs of both players will be saved which results in very small files. The
kailleraclient.dll which I provided you with and which is included with FBA Shuffle has a Playback option in the P2P/Client drop-down box.
I will record all my matches for sure.
One big request - PLEASE update FinalBurn Alpha Shuffle to the latest version, especially the guys who played with me online a while ago. As McMoist and I have concluded having different emulator versions can lead to severe input lag issues. Also, the "Client" edition of kaillera won't connect between different emulator versions.
The "Client" mode might be needed if someone has huge lag (100+ ms) - e.g. McMoist and I realized that we have much less lag if we connect to an external server, even though you have to add both pings (~90ms vs 120ms).
This is a very good Kaillera server: 92.51.138.220:27888
Now a request to Blackhawk - could you seed everybody in the cup system? Blackhawk was awesome enough to add the tournament to our cup page!
